遇事斟酌，遇要事则更要斟酌。蠢人之所以陷入悲伤，皆因其缺乏思考。他们对事物的认识一知半解，因不知其得失，也就不肯全力以赴去做。有的人也思考，可本末倒置，漠视紧要之事，却对鸡毛蒜皮之事小题大做。有的人绝不会失去理智，因为他们根本没有理智。我们要详察一些事情，且铭记于心。智者思索每一件事情，却有所分别，他们尤其注重极艰深之事，总觉得自己很可能思虑不周。如此一来，其所虑之事必为其所知。
